After an impressive career spanning over 45 years, Clark Capwell, a long-time leader with The McGregor Company, is retiring from full-time work at the end of 2024. Clark's journey in agriculture is a testament to hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the industry and the people he served. Clark began his career at The McGregor Company in 1978 as a service technician. His skills and work ethic quickly earned him greater responsibilities, leading him to the role of Plant Manager in 1986. By 1995, Clark transitioned to overseeing the purchasing and distribution of fertilizer - a critical role for the company's operations. In 2014, Clark took on the position of General Manager of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), where he applied his knowledge and leadership to ensure safety and compliance across the organization. Though stepping back from full-time responsibilities in 2025, Clark will continue to lend his expertise part-time, focusing on auditing. Even as he transitions into retirement, his dedication to excellence reflects the passion and integrity that have defined his entire career. Clark's leadership extended beyond The McGregor Company through his invaluable service on the Asmark Institute Board of Directors, of which he has been a member since 2018. During his tenure, his guidance, support, and discernment provided immeasurable benefit to the board and the organization as a whole. Clark's commitment to advancing safety and regulatory compliance across the agricultural retail industry has left a lasting impact. Retirement brings exciting new adventures for Clark. He plans to spend more time at his cabin in Anatone, Washington, a peaceful retreat where he can enjoy the great outdoors. An avid sportsman, Clark looks forward to more hunting, fishing, and golfing. Most importantly, he is eager to spend quality time with his family and grandchildren, creating memories that will last a lifetime. All of us at Asmark Institute wish him the very best in his retirement. His years of leadership, insight, and dedication have made a lasting difference, and we are grateful for his contributions. While Clark may be retiring, his legacy will continue to inspire all of us.
Congratulations, Clark, on a well-earned retirement! May this next chapter bring you endless joy, relaxation, and success.
